Bituminous Products

Bituminous products such as asphalt are often used like cement screeds in the construction and repair of roads, car parks, pavements and driveways. As bitumen is naturally black, its use results in a much darker finish compared with cement-based concrete. Similar to cement, asphalt benefits from the addition of limestone fillers to help strengthen the final product.

Longcliffe supplies limestone fillers for use in bituminous roofing membranes and roofing felts, helping to reduce construction costs and to provide a waterproof covering for the building. Our limestone fillers can also be used for mastic asphalt and polymer-modified mastic asphalt systems.

Mastic asphalt has a long and successful history as a waterproofing medium for flat roofs, water tanks, basements and foundations and we are confident that our limestone provides these beneficial qualities for the construction industry.

Bituminous products are also used to produce surfacing materials for floors, pavements, car parks and bridge decks, adding strength to the final product.
