Calcium Hydroxide based products – specifically formulated for use with incorporated cure fluorelastomers, products are available in both powder and coated forms.
Calcium Oxide based products - a range of calcium oxide desiccants available in powder and dispersed forms.
Magnesium Oxide based products – specially prepared qualities of Magnesium Oxide with a range of activities most suitable for specific fluorelastomer cure systems.
Precipitated Calcium Carbonates – produced from very high purity natural limestone raw materials that have then been subjected to controlled calcination, lime slaking and recarbonation.

Central Technology

Central Technology was founded in 1984 with two principal aims:

To provide technical consultancy to the minerals, fine chemicals and polymer industries.
To develop, manufacture and supply cure activators and halogen acid acceptors for use with incorporated cure fluoroelastomer polymers.

The Company became a wholly owned subsidiary of Longcliffe in 1996. Since that time the range of products and services has been developed and expanded in order to provide a wide range of technically superior calcium and magnesium based materials for use in the fine chemical and polymer industries.

Central Technology's founding philosophy was to bring the highest standards of technical, production and quality control to its products. This approach proved timely - the 1986 Challenger Space Shuttle Disaster was blamed upon the failure of a fluorelastomer O-ring seal.

By pursuing that philosophy of care and attention to detail Central Technology's products have achieved wide international acceptance across suppliers to the automotive and aerospace industries - in some of the industries most technically demanding applications.
