Supplying customers with products of the right quality at the right time is critical to our success. The efficiency of our supply chain from quarry to customer destination is of paramount importance, and our experienced sales and logistics teams ensure a fast and reliable service.
In all areas of order processing and logistics management, Longcliffe personnel are supported by highly sophisticated and well proven technology.
Computerisation guarantees speed and accuracy of reaction and makes it possible to truly tailor our services to the needs of customers. Our team of sales coordinators keep in touch with customers to anticipate their requirements and, if customers' specifications change we have the capacity to respond very quickly.
The Sales Support teams provide additional back-up at local level -- for example in supplying soil testing services to farmers, to gauge pH levels and recommend the quantity of agricultural lime that should be spread.
In the interests of prompt service, everyone at Longcliffe knows how to process and action an order.
Longcliffe extracts, processes, stores and transports over 4000 tonnes of product every working day with 99% of production scheduled for delivery the following day, if not the same day. Deliveries are made all over the UK, in all weathers, 365 days a year, 24 hours a day if necessary. All vehicles are fitted with the latest GPS tracking technology offering real-time delivery information and helping to ensure delivery targets are met on time.
Where necessary, a vehicle is completely dedicated to carrying the calcium carbonate – so avoiding any risk of contamination. The fact that we have our own fleet of bulk pressure tankers and tipper trucks, and carry out all our own vehicle maintenance and repair, means that even very tight deliveries can be met reliably.
Our drivers have a powerful sense of responsibility to their customers – and many of them have become good friends over the years; helped by the quarry's location close to the centre of England, quick and timely deliveries are assured.
Every member at the company recognises that our continuing success depends on the quality of our products and their suitability for the required purpose – and upon the immediate, accurate response to all orders, small as well as large; and upon reliable, speedy delivery wherever in the UK are products are needed.
