Range of limestone aggregates produced from very high purity Carboniferous Limestone.
A range of limestone aggregates produced from very high purity Carboniferous Limestone at our company's Brassington Moor quarry and processing operations in Derbyshire. The material has been crushed, milled, dried and classified to produce products of exceptional purity and consistency available in a variety of sizes.
Concrete is a composite construction material, compose of cement, aggregate (generally a coarse aggregate made from crushed rocks such as Longcliffe limestone, plus a fine aggregate such as sand), water and chemical admixtures.
Longcliffe limestone aggregates are use in variety of ways in construction projects including drainage & pitching, pipe bedding and foundation footings.
Decorative Longcliffe limestone aggregates, chippings and grits are used in landscaping projects such as cycling ways and footpaths, driveways and car parks as well as for ground cover in gardens and rockeries.
Limestone aggregates, chatter and MOT type roadstone, subbase have long been used as a fill or base for the construction of roads and roadbed foundations.
Longcliffe limestone chippings are widely used as a decorative, protective coating for felt flat roofs. Chippings provide a ‘loading’ weight preventing the felt being lifted by wind as well as protection from the sun which would otherwise degrade the felt.
The typical physical properties of Longcliffe Aggregates are as follows:
|Appearance||grey/off white aggregate|
|Calcium Carbonate (%)||98.25 min|
|Typical Moisture (%)||2|
|Available Grades/Sizes||4mm – 300mm|
|Clean, evenly graded aggregates|
For further information please consult the relevant technical data sheet.
Longcliffe aggregates are available in a wide range sizes ranging from 6mm to 300mm, including grades that comply with British Standard specifications BS EN 12620 (Aggregates for concrete), BS EN 13242 (Aggregates for use in civil engineering work and road construction) and BS EN 13285 (Type 1 granular sub-base).
Our operations are fully accredited to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. Datasheets and SDS on specific grades are available on request. Please contact us for further information.
Longcliffe aggregates are supplied in bulk.
Limestone (CAS: 1317-65-3 & EINECS: 215-279-6) is exempt from the obligation to pre-register under the REACH legislation. The exemption is granted in Annex V, Paragraph 7 as the material is a naturally occurring mineral found in nature.
