Architectural Stone
The most basic form of limestone slab, as extracted and cut at the quarry, is sawn architectural stone. Thicknesses can be produced to order and slabs are usually destined for honed or polished finishes to make them suitable for high specification construction projects. Dolomite slab is also available from our Ryder Point quarry.
Rockery and Walling Stone
Derbyshire is famous for its dry-stone limestone walls, and Longcliffe has a long record of supplying this historic market with our finest random walling stone.
Traditionally, walling stone has been selected by hand to ensure consistent size and shape, and Longcliffe is proud to continue this method.
Our walling and rockery stone can be selected direct from the quarry and is sold by the tonne.
