Longcliffe Precipitated Calcium Carbonate
Precipitated calcium carbonate is produced from very high purity natural limestone raw materials that have then been subjected to controlled calcination, lime slaking and recarbonation.
Careful control of processing parameters allows for the creation of a range of crystal structures along with nanometric particle sizing.
Both technical and food/pharmaceutical grades can be produced. Longcliffe PCC is also available with a range of specialised, innovative coatings to tailor the products for specific rubber and plastics applications.
Typical uses of Longcliffe PCC include:
- Extender and rheology modifier in plastics and rubber
- Pharmaceutical calcium source
- Flow improver in foods
- Paint and paper opacity modifier
Longcliffe PCC is available packed in standard 25 kilo paper sacks, however a bespoke packing service is also available to produce pack styles to suit individual customer requirements.
Refox Calcium Oxide
Quicklime is a versatile chemical which has critical applications in a wide range of industries including food production, water treatment, environmental protection, and metallurgy.
Our REFOX brand quicklime is produced from very high purity natural limestone raw materials that are subjected to closely controlled calcination followed by milling, classification and further processing. This results in a very tight particle size distribution and a consistent reactivity.
Products are available in powder and dispersed forms to meet specific processing requirements. Packaging weights and styles can be tailored to the specific requirements of the customer.
Food and industrial grades are available in bulk via our own dedicated bulk powder tanker fleet.
Hydralon Calcium Hydroxide
Hydrated lime is produced by the controlled reaction of quicklime and water, and finds a broad range of applications ranging from effluent and potable water treatment to food, polymers, metallurgy and the environment.
Our HYDRALON brand hydrated lime is available in industrial and food grades including products specifically formulated for use with fluorelastomer systems.
The products are produced from very high purity natural limestone raw materials that are subjected to closely controlled calcination followed by stoichiometric hydration. Further classification and processing is undertaken in order to ensure a very tight particle size distribution and a high, consistent surface area.
HYDRALON can be delivered in dedicated bulk powder tankers and in standard 25 kilo sacks.
Fluoromag Magnesium Oxide
Our FLUOROMAG Magnesium oxide (MgO) products are used as acid acceptors in fluoroelastomers and polychloroprene (PCP) compounds.
We offer specially prepared qualities of magnesium oxide with a range of activities suitable for specific halogenated polymer cure systems.
The raw materials are produced from sea water magnesia before being subjected to a range of processes in order to produce a full range of products that offer consistent activity at all requirements
